its s skin, it means nothing. there are any number of other perfect swords to be had. If you can get a fds that is why not ids.

I don't know about you, but I don't play the game to mourn what it once was. I play it for how it is. I never understood why they were exempt from the interchangable base mod anyway, as their partner in crime, the Fiery Dragon Sword, was not. It makes no sense the way it is now, and since the past is gone, a game past, on top of that, there's no use holding onto it except to degrade gameplay now.

My opinion on this is fixed:

- If they ever add weapon upgrade traders or inscriptions worldwide, they should update it after them being added.
- If they do not add them, this weapon should remain the same until they add them.

As simply as that.

Why? Because in prophecies the only place where you could get upgrades for them would be in the Realms of the Gods or Battle Arenas reward chests, or trading. Since would be a GREAT mistake to force people to trade or go to those places, it would be a horrible idea to update the weapon unless they add a better way for Prophecies-only characters to acquire upgrades.

I fear it to be unlikely but given that every other hideous piece of crap skin has inscription slots, I agree the IDS needs to have that option.

Anyway /signed for having IDS's drop with other dmg modifiers. Dropping from wintersday chest would be pretty rockin too.

I don't think casters should be able to use melee weapons at all unless they have some points into the attribute like 5 min they shouldn't even be able to equip them. <grin>

why is it perfectly fine, it is the only 'farmable gold, that always has a 15^50. to me that says unbalanced, but since so many people like them, we make them better. if you have heard of a caster weapon, it can be a sword or axe, the IDS is the only sword,(correct me if im wrong) that can't be made a caster weapon

Only if it stays uninscriptable and drops in prophecies. I've always wanted a +5 energy IDS but they don't drop. I don't even care if there's a less chance for them to drop with +5 energy than the 15^50. Just like everyone used to think that the fiery and crystalline didn't drop as tyrian, caster, non-inscriptable and there are a few that exist.

There are more mods than the +15^50 and the +5.

Again, they should be inscriptable only if they add a way for Prophecies character to get inscriptions other than getting them in items dropped in end-chests.

Otherwise, they should saty the same. They are actually a 'partially unique' green. They are gold to be mod-able, but they are 'as is' like green ones, without variation between drops.
